Did you know pottery is the gift to be giving your spouse on your wedding anniversary? Well, I certainly wasn't "in the know"; however, Matthew, being as clever as he is, decided to follow the tradition for our anniversary. He set up a date where would actually take a pottery class + make our own. This was one of the most memorable date nights we have ever had. The learning something new together + getting totally out of our comfort zone was a great combination for a lot of laughs + fun. Then, we proceeded to have a fabulous dinner + then went off to downtown Cincy to see Lumonicity. Guyssss, you have to see this next year. It was the neatest projection/musical show I have seen (well, next to Disney). If this anniversary date is any indication of the year ahead, I'd say we are in for another amazing adventure. Love you, Matthew Wayne. <3

Here's To 7 Years of Wedded Bliss
7 years ago today on August 11, 2007, I made a commitment to the man of my young heart's prayers and greatest dreams. Not one day have I ever had to doubt my decision to love him for life. Matthew Wilson is not just my husband, but my best friend. As we celebrated our anniversary over the weekend, I could not help but reflect on the blessing marriage can truly be if founded on Christ, commitment, trust, friendship, respect, and love. The past seven years have seemed to pass swiftly, yet with utter bliss. I cannot wait to see what the years ahead bring, because our marriage has only improved with each year.
We had a date night Friday to celebrate our anniversary. It started with our favorite restaurant, Maggiano's. Then we ventured to Vinoklet Vineyard to view an outdoor play, Macbeth by Shakespeare in the Park. Time spent with just us two has been a rare commodity this summer, so the night was met with great longing and appreciation. Here a few photos from the evening.

15 Weeks & A Date Night
Last night
Matt & I went out…alone. This
doesn’t happen very often…mostly because we love having Jude around, but last night
we made it happen. I am blessed that
I get to spend every day with my best friend, but going out by ourselves just
reminds me of how much I love conversations with him, how he challenges me to
be a better person, and that he understands me (which is not always easy). There is a quote by Fawn Weaver that
says, “A great marriage doesn’t just happen; it’s something that must be
created.” And I just have to say
that I love what we are creating.
Our date
night consisted of visiting the Dayton Art Institute and going out to
dinner. We captured a few moments
of our evening. Please enjoy! Oh, and how about that baby
bump?!?!? Baby #2 is really
popping out at week 15. For those
of you that are curious, now that I am in the second trimester the pregnancy has
been relatively easy going.
However, the first trimester was another story…I felt as though I needed
a nap every other hour. Thank goodness
for energy! :)
