An Edition of Family Photos

Before running errands last Friday evening, we stopped and took some pictures in a field less than 5 minutes from our house.  The sun was setting and it such a pretty evening.  The autumn colors are really starting to show off here in southern Ohio.  We take pictures of Jude rather frequently...as you may have noticed. ;)  One thing that you may not know is that he does not like to have his picture taken.  He is a very busy child, so rarely is he ever in the mood to stop and smile.  Once in a while he will say "cheese", but that is usually while he is doing whatever he pleases and not looking at the camera.  Rather than constantly aggravating him, we try to take pictures in the moment.  Sometimes they turn out and sometimes they don't.  No matter the result, we are always glad we get to capture moments with him.  We've learned that the stages of childhood breeze by too quick, so taking pictures is a must. :)

The Pumpkin Patch

We decided to usher in the first weekend of October in the best way possible...going to a pumpkin patch and picking our own pumpkin.  Not only was that an amazing choice, but we also had a weekend visit from Uncle Robert making the weekend that much more awesome!  This was Jude and Robert's first time to a pumpkin patch and I can't speak for them but I don't think they were disappointed.  From the cinnamon apple donuts, apple cider, hayride, and pumpkin picking, I mean, how could you go wrong?  I do have to admit the weather could've been a little more fall-like.  With the temperature at 80 degrees and the sweltering humidity, it left us feeling a little wilted.  Aside from that, the whole day was perfect.  Oh and Robert, you might as well book your flight for next year, because we just began a new tradition. ;)
