Let the Holidays Begin

Are you getting ready for this week?  This IS the week where it all officially begins...decorating, shopping, food, family time, and all the hustle and bustle.  I have already been to the grocery twice over the weekend and can guarantee that another trip will be made before the week is over.  And before you ask, yes, I did make a list. :)

We happen to be looking forward to this year's holidays even more than usual.  Jude is getting to the age where he is going to be able participate in a lot of the festivities.  He already gets pointing-finger-and-oohing-excited when he sees Christmas trees in stores.  So yes, the best holiday times are ahead for our little family.

We began the festivities this past weekend by making gingerbread cookies and letting Jude "decorate" his own.  He wasn't successful in getting a lot of sprinkles on his cookie; however, he managed to get a considerable amount on the floor. ;)

Loving Meijer's letter cookie cutters, right now!!!

Saving the Nation...One Vote at a Time

Did you vote today?

Every vote counts!

NOTE: I will be quiet on the blogging front over the next week and a half.  Parent-teacher conferences are on the horizon for me...so a busy time! :)

Batman, Batgirl, & Robin Forever

On this Halloween we spent the evening at our church Harvest Festival.  The rain kept us inside, but it didn't dampen our spirit.  It was nice getting to spend some time socializing with our family and friends.  Matt demonstrated his creative side with his homemade Batman costume...and let me tell ya, this costume was uh-mazing!  Jude loved his Robin costume minus the mask over his eyes.  And of course, he enjoyed getting attention from his usual fan base.  Afterward we scored $2 burritos by wearing our costumes to Chipotle.  All in all, not too bad for a week night event.
